Some would say that it is easy to be a christian. I would agree and disagree. Maybe years from now as I grow in my faith that will change, but for now, that's what I think. There are times when its seems natural to stay close to God. Today would be a great example of that. I woke up praying. I took my shower and was praying. My husband asked me what my plans were for today and I said I had things to do around the house, but I was going to be reading my bible and spending some time with God. I think it gets hard when the world tries to get in your way with your relationship with God. The world tells you how you should act, what kind of a parent you should be, what your life style should be like, how we should be treating our spouses, and its wrong. One of the best things I have done for my marriage was to let go of the views of the world and take on those of my Lord. Some would ask is it easy? No, at times it can be hard. Have you ever heard of loving someone unconditionally? That means love is a choice, not a feeling. I choose love for my marriage and my husband regardless of what the world says. I pray that God will be with you today and may you find the faith and love that you need in Jesus first above all others.

I'm not sure if anyone even reads anything I type, but sometimes it is just nice to type out what's going on just to get it out there. We are suppose to leave for vacation next week and I am having some stress about that. Though I have been trying a little to give it over to God. At church on Sunday our Pastor had a very hard message for me to grasp. He said that being a christian is not easy. It is a test that we face on a daily basis. Once we past one test another is on the way and that we need to step up to the plate so to speak and stop complaining all of the time. All that does is bring a person down. His messages are true but they can take a little time for me to digest. We had our first snow day here. No school because of all the rain and snow. I really hate driving in this weather. How many other moms get conflicted with trying to make the right/best choices for their family? No one told me that following God would be so hard at times. I guess that's why at times I look so different from other people. I would though, rather follow God and obey his will for me and be in his protection in the middle of the storm then out of it on a branch. Gen 22 is a very powerful chapter if you take the time to break it down. Abraham's faith in God is determination to follow God's will for his life and his pure faith that God would bring to pass the promises that He made to him. He did not stop to question or ponder or consult with others. God's directions were clear to him and he followed them to the letter. God always does what he says he will do, but then we also have a part to play in it also. May God bless those who read this and even those who don't. I pray that everyone can come to know you Lord they way I know you. Good night. :)

Rough times really need to lean on God
With the way things are going on in this crazy world we really need God more now then ever. It is always easy to have faith when things are going good, but how is our faith when times are hard? I always thought I had a pretty good relationship with God until last Sunday. I have felt that I had heard from him many times in my life before. Well, last Sunday I went back to a church we had attended a few years ago. I just wanted to stop in and see some people and say hi. God had other plans for me that day. I had two separate people come up and talk to me about things going on in my life that they had no clue about, but God did. the messages were straight from God. All I can say after that is that I get it now. God is there waiting for us with his arms wide open. It does not matter to him what your life looks like or what you have done. He loves each and everyone of us very much. So much that he knows the number of hairs on our head. What I really would like for anyone who reads this to get is that God is there waiting for you. Just call on his name and He will be there for you. God wants to be a part of our lives but we have to ask him to come in. He will not force his way in. His love for us is unconditional. I pray that God will bless you and that you may know the peace of God which transcends all understanding and that it may settle in your heart and your mind. Lord please bless those who are reading this. AMEN!

School started
Well, my youngest srtared first grade today and I cried after she got on the bus. I thought I would be okay, but as it turns out I really miss our time alone together in the morning. I know no one reads this, but it seems a small comfort to write something to no one one about the things that go on in our lives. I am trying to stay busy and am counting down the time until they return from school. My oldest I am use to. She was excited as usual, but my youngest, I don't know. I have had a child at home for over 10 years and now I am at a new stage in my life with my kids as a mom. I wonder if any other moms feel this way. Well, hopefully only two more hours until they are home. Have a blessed day. And as always Gos is there for us.

New Hair Cuts
Well, today at our household we found a new way to get our haircuts. We actually went to the mall to Master Cuts and got them done. i was quite surprised at how well they cut our hair and styled it. It was alot cheaper then where we normally go and I was thankful for it. Then I left the mall. No shopping or anything. I can't believe that. Now at home today we are dog sitting and trying to help our best friends get ready for their daughters graduation party and I'm of course trying to pickup and lean. Then I walked into our daughters room and just wished that I had not. I think Hurricane Catherine and Cristina came through. I know my mom would laugh at this. It's funny they way your kids can act and behave just like you did when you were a kid.

Everyone has things that they need to do as a parent and my youngest can make it very difficult sometimes. I love her with my whole no matter what, but there are times I think my patience is going to snap. Then, I turn to God and some how He always gets us through those times. Even now there are some changes that have to take place and I am a little scared about them, but I know that we will be able to do all things with God, but apart from him we can do nothing. I am so grateful for my family and the closeness that we share. I know we would not be where we are today without God and that whatever comes our way, as long as we stay close to God all things will work out. I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Today is starting out like any other day. The only difference is that today I have to work. It is my one day a week that I have to work and the neighbor and I trade kids one day during the week so that we can each work. It is still hard to get up and get going this morning. These are the days when I wish I still could be home, but financially it's hard to do. I really could work more for the money, but then not everything about life is about money. Sometimes you just have to draw the line and make the sacrifice's to be with your kids. It's not always easy.
